Labor and Delivery (9 beds) - Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:3 -
Electronic Health Record: GE Centricity, Meditech - Orientation:
Weekly, on Mondays Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active RN
license in Texas (Texas nursing jobs) - Minimum 2 years of recent
Labor & Delivery RN experience - Required Certifications: ACLS,
AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS (current prior to start) - Proficiency
in labor management, circulating cesarean sections, and OB triage -
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed - Professional,
upbeat, motivated, and self-assured personality - Ability to work
independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compliance with hospital dress code (hospital-provided scrubs; no
un-natural hair color or casual wear) L&D Nurse
Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Labor &
Delivery patients of all age groups - Manage laboring patients,
including monitoring, assessment, and documentation - Circulate and
assist during cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures -
Perform OB triage and respond to pregnancy complications -
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal
patient outcomes - Utilize equipment such as EFM, IV pumps, and
NIBP monitors - Maintain accurate documentation in GE Centricity
and Meditech EHR systems - Adhere to hospital policies, procedures,
