A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse specializes in providing care
to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments
but are not in critical condition necessitating intensive care.
These patients often include those recovering from surgery,
managing chronic illnesses, or stabilizing after acute medical
events. ? Key Responsibilities: - Patient Monitoring: Continuously
assess and monitor patients with complex medical conditions, such
as cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical cases, ensuring timely
detection of any changes in their health status. ? - Medical
Interventions: Administer medications, assist with bedside
procedures, and utilize advanced technologies like telemetry
monitoring to provide comprehensive care. ? - Care Planning:
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and
evaluate individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal
patient outcomes. ? - Patient Education: Educate patients and their
families on disease management, self-care techniques, and
post-discharge care to promote long-term health and prevent

Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current
state RN license and possess a associates degree from an accredited
nursing school. Additional requirements include: - Basic Life
Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. - ACLS
and PALS are required within six months of hire. - One year of
experience preferred - ASLS certification preferred About our
