Tyler is renowned for its vibrant community and beautiful rose gardens, making it a top destination for travel nurses./n /n/nEstimated Weekly Salary/n /n - Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1850/n /n/nTravel Nurse Job Details/n /n - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)/n - Location: Tyler, TX 75701 – East Texas healthcare jobs/n - Unit: Labor & Delivery (LDRP)/n - Start Date: December 1, 2025/n - End Date: March 2, 2026/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: 12-hour nights (18:00 - 06:00), 3 shifts per week/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Patient Ratio: 1:2/n - Number of Beds: 15/n - Number of Rooms: 14/n - Weekend Coverage: Required (6 weekends per contract)/n - Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays if needed/n - Orientation: 24 hours onsite/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience/n - Previous travel nursing experience required/n - Proficiency with Epic charting system/n - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)/n - Preferred: Previous charge nurse and Trauma Level I experience/n - Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris/n /n/nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 15-bed LDRP unit/n - Monitor and assess mothers and infants, including fetal heart monitoring and newborn assessments/n - Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk births/n - Administer medications and manage IVs, including magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips/n - Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education to new mothers/n - Perform and document APGAR scores, newborn hypoglycemia checks, and metabolic screens/n - Educate and provide discharge teaching for parents, including car seat and circumcision care/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services/n - Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families/n /n/n /n Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
