Description: The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive
nursing care to critically ill patients. They will work nights on a
3x12-hour schedule. The nurse will be responsible for managing
patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. They will
perform critical nursing procedures including pulmonary artery line
monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips. The role includes
care for ventilated patients and those requiring advanced
respiratory support. Nurses will also manage central lines, IVs,
and administer blood products. They will collaborate with
interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and social
services. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with
varying medical diagnoses. This position requires flexibility to
float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed. The nurse will
ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and perform
phlebotomy as required. High patient acuity demands strong
assessment skills and a proactive approach to patient care.
Knowledge of charting in Epic is essential for maintaining accurate
