Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS Preferred Must-Have: - Med/Surg experience - MS/Tele experience - Colostomy care - Feeding tube management - Pre/Post hemodialysis management - Renal failure management - Blood product administration - Peripheral line management - Phlebotomy - PICC line management - Starting IVs - Clinical management for spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injury Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The start date is ASAP. The unit has a total of 36 beds. Ratios are 1:6. Must be willing to float to units of equal or lesser acuity. Weekend shifts will be half of scheduled shifts. Travel experience is required. Experience with Trauma Level I or II is preferred. The role involves a variety of skills such as accessing and managing ports, central line blood draws, and wound care. Candidates will need experience in pre/post-surgical management and respiratory care.
