Job Description:
Aramark is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join
our dynamic culinary team at our renowned food service operations.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our
standard of excellence and innovation, contributing to the culinary
success of our high-volume dining environments, including
universities, healthcare institutions, and business facilities. As
an Sous Chef at Aramark, you will assist the Executive Chef in
managing kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional quality and
compliance with the highest standards of food safety. Assist the
Executive Chef in the development and planning of menus, including
future food trends and seasonal variations. Ensure the high
standard of food presentation and preservation within the facility.
Manage and train kitchen staff on culinary techniques and optimum
service practices, maintaining staff professionalism. Oversee
inventory, purchasing, disbursement, and cost control to keep
expenses in line with budget. Enforce sanitary practices for food
handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Assist
with the management of food and product ordering by keeping
detailed records and minimizes waste, plus work with team to
improve processes. Contribute to catering events operations,
including creation and execution of menus tailored for each event
size and style. Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet
deadlines and develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and
distribution goals. Proven expertise in food preparation, menu
development, and execution. Strong leadership, communication, and
organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure in a
fast-paced environment. Proficient in using various types of
kitchen equipment and technology. Knowledge of best practices in
food safety and sanitation. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
