We are looking for motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our Outside Plant (OSP) fielding team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunityperfect for recent high school graduates or anyone looking to start a hands-on career in the telecom and utility engineering industry. As an OSP Fielder, you will help support the planning and design of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure by collecting and documenting real-world field data. No prior telecom or engineering experience is needed. Important Note About Travel This position requires substantial travel. Candidates must be comfortable being on the road frequently (up to 80% of the time). Key Responsibilities Collect field data for utility poles, conduits, handholes, and other OSP infrastructure Record measurements, pole information, clearances, and right-of-way details using mobile apps or field tools Take clear, detailed photographs of equipment and site conditions Verify and update as-built field conditions for engineering accuracy Communicate field findings with project managers, engineers, and permitting teams Follow all safety protocols while working outdoors around utility infrastructure Qualifications High school diploma or GED required (no prior experience needed) Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to walk, stand, and carry field equipment for extended periods Basic smartphone/computer literacy Valid drivers license and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) Ability to pass a drug screen and background check What We Offer Paid on-the-job training in OSP fielding tools and processes Clear advancement pathways into engineering, permitting, or project management roles Competitive pay and benefits Supportive team environment focused on your career growth
