JOB SUMMARY: Collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned. Provides leadership and knowledge to others. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals with a focus on continuous improvement Assist in communicating technical and general information in a professional and constructive manner Coordinates staff to meet patient and departmental need Performs clerical duties The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED Phlebotomy field of study or degree program 2+ years of experience PBT, or RPT, or CPT, or NCPT (ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCC, NHA, AMT), or NAHP, or AMCA, or ACA

QUALIFICATIONS

- SHIFT 7/7 off 12:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Evening

- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent

- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 2 years experience required

- PREFERRED - 5 years of Experience - Inpatient Experience

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:

ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCC, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA or ACA .
