Job Description PROJECT SURVEYOR Essential Functions: Prepare survey project scopes and proposals for clients Coordinate the production, planning and forecasting of the project Troubleshooting routine survey assignments to resolve issues and makes recommendations for efficient and effective solutions Project Management: Coordinate and supervise field and CAD personnel Works as a task manager on multiple survey projects Pivotal objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client Assists in evaluating reports such as project summary and detail reports Works primarily with internal clients but will, under supervision, be introduced to external client management Communicates with clients on project tasks and routine issues Under the guidance of a PM, RPLS or Survey Services Leader, monitors or acts on budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable

Responsible for field checks Performs QA/QC of raw data and demonstrates a high proficiency in data review, analysis and manipulation Delegates tasks to field crew, survey technicians and other staff, as required and under the direction of the RPLS or Survey Services Leader Supervises work for staff Field Crews and or other personnel for work production as needed Organize technical production, direct field work, checking work (quality control) and communicating all players within the project Provides technical development for staff Scheduling: responsible for the planning and scheduling of field crews to optimize production Analyzes and interprets public records research, including deeds, plans and other documents required by the project Reviews descriptions with the RPLS or Survey Services Leader, recognizes and corrects errors Imports points into CAD software and draws topographic features and prepares exhibits Responsible for writing/verifying, and reviewing final surveys to determine accuracy, or document errors and omissions Supervisory Responsibility: Direct and supervise work of subordinate members of surveying staff Required Education and Experience: Bachelors or Associates Degree in surveying or program with required credits towards RPLS licensure 7+ years of surveying experience RPLS license or ability to become licensed within 2 years of employment Working knowledge and experience using Civil 3D software and utilizing GPS technology Organizational, problem solving, detail oriented, communication and leadership skills required Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record Must have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time Experience in client development and supervision of the technical work of others Working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position Work Schedule: Monday Friday 40+ hours a week We are a drug free workplace and an equal opportunity employer !
