Position SummaryThere is currently 1 opening for a Maintenance
Electrical Technician Trainee in the in the Maintenance Department.
The pay rate will be at METP L4, with the opportunity to move into
a Level 5 position upon the successful completion of the 2-year
program. This opportunity is available to all Paris Plant employees
who meet the eligibility requirements listed below.Pay RatePay rate
for this position is the METP wage progression.Position ScheduleThe
selected team members will work primarily Monday through Friday,
6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Overtime would still be available through
normal overtime process.Position Responsibilities (to include, but
are not limited to):
- Model safe behavior at all times, and actively participates in
safety improvement activities.
- Successfully completing all formal and on-the-job training that
will develop technical expertise in the following areas: Vision
Systems, Reliance AutoMax, ControlLogix and/or other PLC and
digital drive systems, Process Controls (PID Loops),Electrical
Inspection and Motor Lubrication, Motor and Motor Controls, and
Variable Speed Drives, including AC & DC.
- Read and use electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single
line diagrams and circuit diagrams.
- Remove, repair, and install instruments, DCS components, and
related equipment.
- Set-up and operate test equipment associated with the
maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of industrial process control
systems.
- Identifies patterns of failures and ways to design out
failures.
- Support the planning and execution of daily/weekly/and shutdown
activities.
- Participate in cost effective decision making (for example/
labor, parts, and materials).
- Demonstrates collaboration by continually demonstrating adult
behavior and actively participating in team activities to provide
the highest level of service and equipment to the Paris plant. -
-Position Eligibility Requirements (as of expiration date of
posting):
- An associate degree in electromechanical technology, or
electrical electricity, or instrumentation, or industrial
electronics, or an equivalent associates degree, or a Military
MOS.
- An official transcript from an accredited school verifying
completion of an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology
(electrical focus), or Electronics, or Industrial Electricity, or
Instrumentation or equivalent degree, or military MOS.
- Must not be on a Performance Improvement Plan
- Must not have had a Written Warning (KC-80 Level 2) or above
within the year prior to the expiration date of the posting. An
employee's receipt of a Written Warning (KC-80 Level 2) or above at
any time from the posting expiration date to the date the employee
actually transitions into the new role, will deem the employee
ineligible for the promotion.Other RequirementsPrior to the posting
close date, a current resume (or updated talent profile in Workday)
and official transcript verifying the completion of a degree, or a
copy of your military MOS, must be uploaded with your application
or provided directly to HR. Previous submissions will not be
accepted. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that HR

scheduled for the Scientific Management Test.
- Candidates must complete the test with a score of > 0 to
move to Step 2.

- Technical Interview - Must obtain an overall score of 3.0 or
